Before you choose an editor
Do I need the original synthesizer?
These tools work with the original hardware; they do not emulate its sound engine. The synth controllers use MIDI, with the hardware’s audio outputs connected to your audio interface. The ESX app prepares sample sets as .esx files for transfer to the Electribe rather than controlling it over MIDI.
Which editor is right for my setup?
Match the exact hardware model first, then check the operating system, formats and connection or file-transfer requirements on its product page. Compatibility and features are specific to each editor.
Does the Orbit editor work in my DAW?
The Orbit editor includes VST3, AU and Standalone formats for macOS, plus a Max for Live device. The native plugin has been tested in Ableton Live and GarageBand. Max for Live requires Ableton Live Suite or Standard with the Max for Live add-on. Check the product page for the full tested-host and platform details.
Where will I find the next releases?
New editors will be listed on this page when they are available. For development and release posts, visit the Olean’s House blog.
Independent software for compatible hardware. Olean’s House is not affiliated with the original synthesizer manufacturers. Brand and model names identify the intended instruments.
